hi guys got a minty 99 forman 450 es just noticed it only sparks my plug tester on button release .holding the start button down shows no spark. upon release it gives 3 or 4 sparks till engine stops rolling over. pull cord works normal sparks when pulled. tested switch seems ok what am i missing ...having left arm only i really need the electric start appreciate any help dan

 

May or may not be the problem but sounds like what happens to Polaris 500s when the pulse coil is out of range of the flywheel or weak.They will pull start,but wont electric start. The Polaris pulse coil is external of the flywheel. Looks like your pulse coil or pulse generator as it's called is internal or it's just the way I'm looking at it... Item#3 on the parts break down.
