Just wanted to let those interested know that I have been running the 200X with a 12 to 1 wiseco for about a week now. I also added a web cam at the same time. The low end response is very good. Much more torque than stock. I've run both Turbo Blue (110 octane) and GT100 with octane booster (100 plus 3-4). It has ran great with both types with no knocking, pinging, etc.

The piston had a note with it stating no less than 102 octane was to used with the piston. So far, so good.

I think I prefer the turbo blue though. It seems as if the engine runs a little cooler with it. Has anyone had any bad effects from running leaded gas in a Honda trike motor? (Turbo Blue does contain lead).

Hey clpalmer what type of jetting changes did you have to do, or did you go to a different carb. I did the same work to an 85 200x, 12 to 1 piston, web hi-rev cam, new valves, springs, chain, basically a whole top end. Just got the motor in and running this weekend. Any jetting info would help. Thanks

I had to go richer on the main jet by 3 sizes (stock carb), but that could very well be due to the fact that I ported the air box lid, switched to a uni-filter, and installed a new cobra exhaust. If your jetting was correct before and all you did was the motor work, I'd venture to say that your jetting is probably close, but I would keep an eye on your spark plug of course. I have a 28mm mikuni flat slide that I would like to install but I have not had time. I'm sure I will have to spend some time with that setup to get the jetting right.

Default Hi-compression piston in 200X.

I know this is an old thread, can you use 2 base gaskets on a 200X to drop a 12 to 1 compression down to 11 to 1 (To run Pump Gas) better than 10 to 1
