Default 83 250r project

I just bought a 83 250r motor for $75 for a project but the problem is that the sprocket is on the right side. Has anyone heard of flipping the swingarm over to match the motor. I really want to use a blaster frame. Thanks for any help.

Frist off, I assume you have a spare Blaster frame. I guess they're alright wheelers, cept for the brakes.

I have thought about this too since I own a 1984 ATC 250R in case I ever found a 4-wheeler frame. Don't quote me, but I would think you might be able to just try to put the axle in the other way? Of course you would have to swith the brakes to the other side, too. Call me crazy but I think it's worth a try if you have the frame just sitting around.

If worst comes to worst, I would then try flipping it over. As I like to say, "It can't hurt to try."

Yeah blaster frame and rolling complete minus a motor for $50, and with a little help from ebay it will be free. I thought about just flipping the axle and I really hope that works. I still got to put a top end on the R motor and find a few parts like a carb and a cdi. Thanks for your input.
