Default 250r ignition system

what kind of ignition does a 1985 250r sport? ive got a couple of '83 big reds and theyve got CDI, and i think the 250r has CDI aswell but i havent been able to get the flywheel off to tell for sure. anyone know off hand? also, what kind of oil filter do '83 big reds use? does a 250r have any kind of (transmission) oil filter (yes, i do apologize for my retardness)?

thanks in advance

the iginiton between those two trikes are not compatible. they both are CDI systems, but the big red has a mechanical advance for the timing and the 250r has a sold state advance built into the CDI.

the big red technically has two oil filters. the one most riders clean is the screen behind the oil drain plug. the other one is on the end of the centrifugal clutch and has a chamber that uses centrifugal force and a magnet to catch debris.

the 250r doesn't have a transmission filter.
