200x or 250r?
#1
I need some help on deciding what i should get. I was about to get a 250r but the guy sold it....but then i was told that a 200x was really good too. I'm leanin more towards the 200x cuz i was told that a 2-stroke needs to be rebuilt about once a year. But the 250r is way faster and i like how they look. I can get either one but i need to know which one to get. Oh yeah and theres 3 200x's in the trader right now and no 85 or 86 250r's. Should i wait for a 250r to come up for sale or look at one of the x's? Please help!

Recently I was faced with the same predicament. I already had a fast quad and needed a second cheap bike so I could ride with my girlfriend. I considered a 250r threewheeler but decided against it just because I didn't want to have to pour a lot of money into it and I don't really think I need a trike with all that power. I bought an 84 200x last week and I am very pleased with it. It has plenty of power to get me to and from all the big hills. I can't get up all of them but at least I can get to them and that's all I cared about. When we get to the hills we take turns riding the quad. SO I guess what I'm trying to say is if you want something that will be able to make it everywhere you want to go then get the 250r, but if you just want something that is VERY fun to ride and is now going to kill you or your wallet then get the 200x. Keep in mind that if you are not happy with it you can always sell it for the same price you pay assuming you get a reasonable deal. That's the beauty of it. The trikes aren't losing any resale value anymore.
