Snow Riding
#1
Anyone do any snow riding this past weekend? We had a small little bit of snow thurs nite/ friday morning- great for shredding around on the 250R. The dirt roads were still soft underneath, so it was a mud fest as well. Like the Old Milwaukee Beer commericals said, It doesnt get any better than this. Where did you ride, what did you break?

I got chased by a moose. Of course I was messing with her and she had 2 calfs she was protecting. I didn't chase her, I was just riding paralell across a plowed field and she kept angeling towards me. She kept her ears pinned and her head tilted. It was a little spooky. Every time I started to stop she would start comming towards me. Then I started thinking that if I get stuck in a drift or run out of gas or something, she is going to put a hurtin on me. I think I will stick to chasing rabbits with the Raptor.

Ahhh Moose- the other white meat... no wait....No big game species down here, just cows and they dont care if you are there or not. That would make an awesome video- guy getting chased by a moose on a 'wheeler!
Calling for a bunch of the white stuff again tonight and into tomorrow. Best part about working in technology in a school district- snow days... and my orv sticker just came in, so ill be out riding with everyone in town- cant wait!!

ORV= Offroad vehicle
In Iowa, you can ride legally on hard pavement (public roads) with a DNR (dept of natural resources) ORV tag, a flag and an inch of unplowed snow. Its a nice little benefit, but the DNR has to inspect your bike to get a tag, you MUST have your flag on, or the county mounties will give you a large ration of static.
I went out last weekend, it warmed up to about 45 or so- its was beautiful riding weather, still a little sloppy but Ill take any chance i have
