check the microfische on bikebandit.com- should give you a blowout view of all the parts in those forks. Havent had mine apart, so I wold be interested in what you find.

There is a screw in the bottom that is about 2" long. I think a 6mm allen wrench is what you need to take it out. When you pull the tube out, there will be a split bushing on the bottom. Check this bushing for wear. Don't damage it!!!

My manual for my 250ES says that you might have to get an air compressed drill to get it out. That might help.

No NO NO!!! I meant that the damper rod turns inside the slider and you might need an air impact driver to get it out. Don't go drilling any holes! Sorry about that man, if you can't get it out with an air impact driver try and take it to a dealer and have them remove the screws.

Well how do i get the damper rod to stop turing inside the slider?

i tried an impact on the screw and it did was turn.

i really don't want to take the shocks to a dealer so any more info would be greatly appreciated

I've done mine so they do come out. I believe getting those screws on the bottom loose is the first step in doing the forks.
