Default 200 X motor 185 cylinder ATC ?challenge?

ok here goes
i have a 1985 200 X motor that has a 185 bike cylinder (?year) on it and the piston skirt broke causing it to lock up. took cylinder off and pryed piece of skirt out of main journal on crank. just going to wash bottom out and put another piston in it.

Question : in catalog it shows 185 has more cc's than the 200 when buying pistons so does the 185 cylinder actually have more cc's ? and if it does do i need to jet it a little richer to compensate ? doubt the jetting has ever been changed. when i got it they had been running it with out any air filter and even the the air flow tube wasn't connected to the back of the carb. although the cylinder, even with the broke skirt on piston, looks real good. i would guess it lasted less then 30- 40 hours since rebuilt with 185 cylinder ( they threw away the 200 cylinder supposedly it was broke. they were to cheap to re sleeve it and had a 185 motorbike just laying there.

plan is to get 185 piston 1 size smaller than the max allowed and bore it to the new piston.
if i cant get 200 cylinder but if the 185 is more cc's i think it would be better.

i will be really shocked if someone can actually help me but one never knows do they ?

thanks

well I will do my best to shock you. lol

to start with the 185 has a bore of 63 mm and a 57.8mm stroke
the 200x has a 65mm bore and a 60mm stroke

so knowing that we know the 185 is smaller. but you can bore the 185 2mm(0.080) over and run a stock 200x piston.
now for the jetting. sence the 185 is smaller it would flow less air so if you are jetted for the 200 I would say it was a little rich.

I hope this helps. Sick

BTW I have a 200x cylinder if you need one but it may need to be bored.it would be the first bore on it.
