check valve lash, if the valves are tight, youll have poor compression.
Then check compression again.
If no change then Try a little quirt of oil in the spark plug hole, then spin the motor, with out the plug installed, to distribute the oil. Then do the compression test, if its better, then the rings are leaking.

is 75 lbs of compresstion good?
the 250es and 250sx are basicaly th esame motor btu the factory compression ratio is 6.2:1 witch isnt alot to begin with i ahve 3 motors for my 2 250sx's and when i tore my old motor out to rebuild it it ran find btu only had abotu 68lbs of compression but i also reveed the **** out fo it till i put 22inch tires backon it a=fter i rebuilt it and threw the razor;s on my 200x .

'Lovetoride' No 75lbs is not good.....if for some reason it does run; it sure is not as STRONG as it should be!!!
