I have a Tiger 250 that Im in the (slow. very slow) process of restoring. Yes, it is very fast. Faster than my 250r, Tecate, or my old TriZ. They are my favorite and Im constantly looking for others to add to my collection.

Man, where do you find parts for that thing?? Refabrication?? I guess alot of the aftermarket parts would work on them (the frame), but if you were to ever have engine problems, what would you do?? Be innovative?
How did you become soooo lucky as to find such a bike? How far have you gotten on the project? How much do you have left? Do you know where any more of these bikes would perhaps be located?? Isn't it a shame that our wonderful government has to do away with such a wonderful AMERICAN creation and give it all to the japs?? Man, there is no other jap bike that could even think about keeping up with these bikes!! AND THEY WERE 100% race ready off the show room floor!! The ultimate flattrackers!! I would like to see pictures of your prize!!! And also, if you ever see another one of these trikes please let me know.... If you have any more information pm me.... Thank you.....

I know about Tigers just from looking at pictures of them and reading about them. I've talked to a few people that used to race them, one guy raced for the company and rode 5 different Tiger trikes during his time with them. They still make motor parts for the 200 and 250's. I'm going to have to disagree with them being sucessful, they were in debt for a lot of money when they went out of business. I know the owners full name, I figure by finding him we could get some production numbers of every model made, and possibly he has some parts or knows where all the left over inventory went to. Here is my jersey I got from a old Tiger racer:

It was 1986 - My dad and I went down to the Tiger show room. I sat on the 80 - he liked the 500.
But for some reason or another - we ended up getting hondas instead.
I now have his 250R... But once in a while - I really wish it were a tiger 500...

specially' when one of those huge 700cc monsters wants to race. I can never win in the long run..

Maybe some day a nice CR500 motor will fall my way.. Or I'll be content with just having one of the coolest bikes ever made...

I have 3 Tigers and a forth on the way, I have a 80, 200, 250 and another 250 on the way. I also have 3 spare 250 Tiger engines (Rotax) The 80 is a full rolling chassis, im in bad need of an engine. The 80 was the only Tiger that wasnt powered by Rotax, the 80 was a KTM engine frome the 86 KTM Dirtbike. If anyone has a lead on the KTM 80cc engine please let me know. Out of all the Tigers the 80 was by far the nicest looking one.
