Another 200x question
I saw a guy a few years back with the 350X engine in a 1986 or 1987 model 200X. He had to do alot of work with the header pipe, but other than that, he said it didn't take alot of work to get it in there. However, one thing that both he and I noticed was that the front sprocket was in a different location in relation to the swingarm pivot and it jerked around quite a bit when the suspension was compressed on the rear. It wasn't enough to want to trash the engine, but it was noticable. Also, the kickstarter was in the way when riding it. It stood up taller on the plastic than the 200 engine did. Waaaay further.
If the 350X will fit in there, the 250X will also. Those two engines have the same engine mount locations, although the 350 is a bit wider at the back, but both will swap into the same chassis.
I'm sure how this setup would work on the '83-'85 series 200X frame.
