Default Honda atc 110 help

Hi everyone this is my first post of many to come. I have two Honda atc 110s, one is an 85 the other a 84.
I cannot get the 84 to run consistantly. I have spark, a well cleaned carb and I know I am getting fuel to the spark plug. I have two carb kits on the way hopefully the issue is in there. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by "run consistantly"? It wont idle? It shuts off while riding? It wont start? When it has the problem....does it restart right away? When it dies....does it have spark then?
Welcome to the forum, dont be afraid to ask questions, however try to give as much detail as you can, the better the details you give, the better answers we give.

Default Honda atc 110 help

Thanks for getting back so soon. Well I cant start it at all right now. Yesterday the mechanic who installed a new clutch in it had it running after a new plug and some carb adjusting. When I got home we rode for a while and went to restart this morning with no luck. Since I have another 110 I swapped out the CDI and Coil into the working 110 to rule those out. They worked fine. AS I previously posted I have a carb kit on the way. I am going to re-clean the carb in the mean time. Any suggestions as far as the carb adjustments are concerned(air/idle). Thanks again. KG

You need three things to start.....fuel, spark and compression. Well assume compression is good, because it ran yesterday. Got gas going as far as the float bowl? Open the float bowl drain and see if gas comes out. Got spark? Take the plug out, and reattach the wire, hold the plug to the head and spin it over. Got spark? kill switch on?

Default Honda atc 110 help

I swapped out the carb on the 110 that runs and that did the job. The confusing thing is I put the carb from the non-running 110 on the other 110 and and it worked as well. Who knows, I plan on rebuilding both carbs this week so everything should be gold. Does anyone know the cheapest place online to buy the replacement plastic gas tanks. I found a site last week that sold them for $80 bucks, know I cant seem to find the site. Most of the other sites are selling them for $120. Thanks for everyones help.....kg

I would not replace the stock gas tank with a platic tank if there was any way around it. I think you can still buy a coating solution for the interior of fuel tanks. This will work on tanks with rust on the inside.

Your 110's look awesome in the pics. Try to keep them original.

I've heard that plastic tanks don't fit good at all. They also look like crap to, to me.
