Anybody have any info on the 3-wheeler Polaris offered when they got into the ATV business in '85? How many were made, how many years did Polaris make them, etc.

 

I've heard stories of a Polaris threewheeler,but never found hard evidence of its existence.If they were produced,it was for a short period of time, I would imagine.

We actually have one on the farm. I am pretty sure they were only built in '85. It's handling isn't real great (high center of gravity) but it is pretty snappy and quite a bit faster than the original trail boss, I imagine because it is lighter. I don't know how many were made but I have never seen another. We actually bought it in January of '87. It was brand new and the dealer wanted to get rid of it. I may even have the original literature which showed both the first trial boss and the three wheeler which was called a Scrambler.

hay i have a pic of mine on my page cheack it oput thay are real it is in mint condishon and i do agre it is vary snapy it will ceap right up with a scrambler 500 but it will not beat it and there is only about 150 of them left thay biult about 1000 and then thay bout back about 850 of them wen 3 wheelers wore band sorry for bad spelling
