How much is the going price for a Big Red in your area? In Minneapolis they are selling for about $1300 and never get any cheaper.

I've watched the prices on these machines for about 5 years and they never depreciate!

Around here they are mostly $700 and up. They prices keep rising on the old ATCs all the time for a while you could get them real cheap but not any more.

Bill,

About the only thing that I would want one for is their deep water capability when equipped with a snorkel. You should see those things in action across lakes that would stop a Polaris like ours, (been there) it is amazing to watch them lift that front wheel and float along.

The old Polaris gave up the ghost after the handlebars went under water for too long. But the 3 wheeler crowd was amazed when we pushed it ashore, removed the plug, dried it off, reinstalled it and fired it right up. Polaris gained a little respect that day.

I understand that the Alaskans liked them because they would fit into an "Otter" airplane with the front wheel removed, which cannot be done with a standard 4 wheeler.

Thor,I know exactly what you mean about lifting the front end up so easily on a 3 wheeler thru water. My first 3 wheeler was a brand new 1984 250cc Kaw Prairre with the lockable rear end.Man going thru water was a snap as you mentioned.====BILL

If you are talking about the 250 bigred they are pretty high in Louisiana. I paid 1900 for mine but it looked like they just rolled it off the showroom floor. The going price here for the 250bigred is 1500-2000 unless it has no fenders.

Looks like they are the cheapest in Pennsylvania and Michigan. Yeah, the 250 Big Red was the one that I was referring to.

I remember they were about $1,400 in Florida a couple of years ago.

I seen one for $850. It ran great but the plastic was a little rough.
