i got mine for 1350 in really good shape. they usually got for 1200-2000 for a 85-86 (watercooled) 250R. the 86 was nicer IMO, different carb, better looking headlight, and a couple of updates in the rear end. they both are great trikes and not far enough off from each other to give a flying fu.....

 

got mine for $1025 in need of a little tlc and a holiday to the UK

 

I picked up my 85 in tip top shape for $800. It was a steal. It's all stock except an aftermarket silencer and it's been bored .050. It was garage kept and the plastic is in great shape. I recently made the trip from MS to OK for the rattle snake roundup and I rode the R more than my banshee. I think it is the perfect dune machine.

 

ive never ridden one so its gona be a case of loving it and starting a collection or $h1tting my self and letting it sit in the garage as an idle curiosity.LOL
