i was wondering how fast do u think that my 250 big red will go after i get it bored out to .60 and i get new vales ans all new gaskits any tip on going faster

It isnt going to go any faster at all unless you change the gearing, tire hiegth, or max RPM.

 

That may be true, however, if the bike was not able to fully wind out 5th gear then you may gain some top end. You can buy taller tires or switch the rear end with a 250sx to get more top speed.

You should notice some improved acceleration with the rebuild and bore job without any other changes.

 

I understand you are going .60 over, but are you going to bumb the compression? If you are looking for proformance the get the 12 to 1 and run 110 and it will make a big difference!
