does anyone know why the engine might smoke. today i was messing with the brakes it tipped over and hit the ground. and when i got down messing with the brakes i started it up and when it started smoke poured out of the exhaust. i went through all the gears then i stopped and turned it off. whne i started it back up it smoked a little but not as much as when i first started it. so can any of yall help me.

i dont think u have a major problem. what happened was the oil went past the rings cuz it was on its side.after u drived it there was less smoke? if so then check the oil and ride it. if the oil goes down then u might have a bigger problem. dont worry unless it keeps smoking after a few hours, cuz u have 2 burn off what went into the exhaust.

WHAT I THINK HAPPENED IS WHEN YOU TIPPED OR FLIPPED THE BIKE, OIL RAN THROUGH THE RINGS AND IN TO THE CYLINDER
MY SUGGESTION: TRY TO RUN THE BIKE IN 2ND OR 3RD GEAR AT ABOUT 5000 TO 5500 RPMS FOR ABOUT 45 SECONDS. I CAN ALMOST GARANTEE IT WILL STOP

Well the other guys may be right if your motor smoked a bit before. If you were to pull the head of your 350x and pull the valve springs out you will most likely find that your valve guide seals or a single seal is bad. Which means oil leaked past your seal between the the valve guide and the valve leaked into the cylinder and when you tipped it back over it ran into the header pipe and just had to burn out. that is a super cheap and easy fix. it does involve taking your vavle cap off and the head off the motor however
