Default 1984 200x losing power

My 84 200x seems to struggle when climbing uphill. I have replaced the plug and the problem seems to remain the same.

Does anyone have any suggestions where to start?

Any information/advice would be appreciated thanks.

the hill could be too tall for the power that your 250 has

Clean the carb out, check your plug gap, check your valve clearance...maybe time for a top end rebuild...piston and rings....how the compression looking...do a dry test...record, then do a wet test, drop a few tbl spoons full of motor oil into the spark plug hole...then test again..when doin this...best to have 2 people, one operating the throttle...(wide open) and holding the compression guage, other operating the rip cord or e-start....start from there w/ a compression test..and also check your plug..how does it look??
