Default Gas Octane

I have a 1984 and 1985 200x, would running premium gas lead to any problems or is it perfectly safe.

Thanks to all who responded to earlier posts with the advice and information.

premium gas is perfectly safe. You can not hurt the engine by using too much octain ...only when you run too little. I only have a 10.5 to 1 in my 200x and I ran 110 in mine for 2 months(huge overkill)......but now it is $5 per gallon.

you can hurt o2 sensors on EFI cars by running hi octanes.

we've had about 10 200x's in our camp for the past 20 years and most ran on high octane and all the ones we still own, still run.
