250r coolant temp gauge
#11
So we agree on the EGT's being expensive and maybe a little fragile.
What do you specifically mean by head temp? Do you mean the temp of the coolant in/out of the head, or that temperature of the Aluminum?
On the performance of a 3 wheeler vs. a 4 wheeler, I have to say that the reason they make aftermarket TRX250r frames is because the 4 wheeler is a much better mx platform than the 3-wheeler (not to mention the whole gov't thing). I was just talking straight line acceleration. That's why the 3-wheelers are so popular for drags.

Still looking for a good coolant temp gauge, but I did find warpdriveperformance.com. They have one similar to the ESR, but it's $34.95. Has anyone had any experience with one. The ESR definitely seems built to last, so I guess you get what you pay for.
Anyone have any experience with this one. I still think it would be better to be able to glance down. I know everyone thinks it will blow up before you can realize the gauge is pegged and shut it down in time, but I think it would be worth it.
