Default Blue Hondas

Me and a couple of my freinds were setting around talkin last night, He told me that the house accross the street from my business had 2 three-wheelers settin out back. One of them was a 200s the other is a Blue Honda 110. That got all of us to thinkin, why are some of the 110's blue? I have seen one somewhere else a long time ago and One of my buddys said that he has seen 2 but thats it. Are they worth more than a regular 110? Why were they blue? thanks for the help

I beleive the blue color was only available for one, possibly two model years.

BIGRED110,

I have no records of a Superiorblue color option for the 1984 model ATC110, nor do I recollect ever seeing one. I have seen a few 1983 models but never a 1984.

I checked Honda records and they do not show a blue option for 1984 either.....only 1983. I then checked the Parts Microfilm of the '84 110 and no mention is made about available blue plastic.....but it is listed on the 1983 Microfilm.

If you do in fact own a 1984 Superiorblue 110, check your frame VIN# and your Engine# for verification.

If all shows the frame and engine to be 1984, get back with me and I will send you a form to fill out for you to return. No pics needed, just #s. Although, we are talking about a machine that is now 20 years old, it is still important for us to keep proper records of what is what.

I have several brochures of ATC models, but as luck would have it, I don't have a brochure for the 1984 ATC110.

I have ran across a few errors over the years with records, but nothing so drastic as not mentioning a color option.

You may have something that no one has ever known about!?! [Or I am suffering from brain fade...and going paranoid over a blue 110]

My guess would be, if the frame and trike are actually an 04, that the original owner like the blue plastic from the year before and purchased it to replace his factory plastic.

I dont believe there is any way to tell if the plastic is oem or an oem replacement.

the forks are painted in the superior blue color as well. I have a set of the forks in the back that are bent and I doubt that anyone would go to this much trouble to paint these forks unless they were restoring this bike (its anything but)

You know, after I thought about it a little, the 110 I was reffering to is an 83 model, it has blue forks but the plastics are red. I wonder if it was originally blue? What part of the V.I.N. would tell me that? It could have been in a real bad crash and broke all the fenders so they just replaced them with some they either had or found instead of ordering new ones from Honda. Being crashed really bad would explain why the forks are bent so badly as well
