well my next project would be to find a 450r with a trashed motor and swap it out with a 250r motor or cr500. do you think it would work with a little fabing?

 

Am I missing something? You want to take a 450r and stick a 250r motor in it? Wouldnt it be easier to buy a trx250r? How much power does a cr250 motor have over a 250r motor. Is it like the the 4 strokes where Honda detuned the crap out of the quad motor?

 

The cr engine has a few more ponies than the trx motor, but not enough for a swap imo.

 

i was refering to a bored out motor, pv 370 or more

 

They do sell a trx 250r with the cr 250r motor in it but unlike the trx's and the atc's its a 5 speed trans not 6

 

Hey chipdog where do you ride at Spurgeon ? I live in Princeton and ride there some, I have a ATC250r , Tri-Z 250, just bought both of them and an LT250R quad.

 

Never ridden there yet, I will one of these days when I make my 3 wheeler more reliable or get something more reliable because they have MILES of trails.

I ride on our farm or I take my toys up to my buddy's gravel pit in Clinton north of Terre Haute.
