Default ATC 185S - 1985? how much should I pay for it?

What do you guys think this trike would be worth? I am thinking about picking it up for ice fishing in Wisconsin. It wouldnt start but the guy says it ran when he parked it 2 years ago. It needs a new front tire and one rear tire also. Any info you could give me on this bike will be greatly apreciated. Thank you.

not more than $250 if you cant hear it run and ask if it burns oil, are the fenders in good shape.

The trike appears to be in real good shape, the rear fender on the left side was cracked down low and a patch was riveted to the backside to keep it together, the seat cover has been replaced and is in good shape. What are some of the other things I should look for? He claims it's a 1985 but I can only find info on 185's to 1983.

I wouldn't give more than $150 - 200 for a not-running bike.

Run your finger on the inside of the muffler to see if its been burning oil or not. I buy alot of junk bikes and people always say that they didnt smoke, Thats usually is a good tattletale. If it has front suspension then its an 83, No suspension 81-82, round headlight is an 80 model. The average going price that I give for one around here (could be made to run without major work, although rare) is between 50-150 dollars. If i go anymore than that then I am staring at a real piece of eyecandy to myself or one that I can restore without bending over backwards to find parts for. hope this helps,

It's an 83, I bought it for 200.00 us. I drained the gas tank and cleaned out the carb, changed the plug, it started 3rd pull. Actually runs pretty well, I popped a couple wheelies without effort. It is burning a bit of oil though. I have the front and rear axles tore apart right now for new wheel bearings, after that it's taking me Ice fishing. Thanks for the help guys.
