is it a stock cylinder or aftermarket cylinder?

also, thats a large carb and a fairly mediocore pipe but it should still run ok.

you should drain and replace the oil every weekend. the clutch will contaminate the oil quick.

It says BEB performance on the side and has a cool head installed. The guy who replaced the clutch said chnge it 2x in the same day the next time I go out. He wasn't able to get all the mud out. Then after every trip.

what are all your mods down to the paddles you are running?

btw, a banshee is one thing but a banshee in glamis is a whole different ball game. its rare you'll run into a banshee that isnt modded in sort. and if the guy even half knows what he's doing, they can be fairly quick.

PM me with your mods.

It has a 13 tooth front sprocket looks like a 40 tooth rear sprocket. and running 21x11x8 8paddle Kendra Geckos. Not sure what shape the reeds are in haven't had it apart. The in graving on the side of the cylinder is actually PEP pro comp. with a cool head. 40 mm flat side minuki card. FMF gold series pipe and DG silencer. It has a K&N filter (no air box). That is all I can tell without tearing some things apart to check. It sounds awsome when it is started. The plastics are thrashed. Do you think the burnt out clutch could have caused my problems. I did notice 3rd and 4th gear wasn't pulling like it should. I thought 3rd and 4th gear up Olds would kill just about anything. It has the stock swing arm and I did have issues keeping the front end down on starts. I start off in 2nd gear. So what do you think? HA2 I see your in good ole SD I live in Chula Vista. When are you going out again? We're looking at Feb 11th, Glamis, we go to wash 4 or further depending on the crowds because we have a lot of little kids in our group and we'd like to keep it that way. What would you charge to look at my bike or do you know someone who is honest and reasonable $$$?

im not the best person to have look at it but if we ever go to glamis on the same trip im sure myself and possibly some R gurus i hang with could help you out. next time ill be out is gordons, presidents day.

first and most important thing............throw the geckos in the trash or save them for your kids bike. if you're on a budget, sand skate II's seem to be the best candidate right now for the price. PM member Mike330r or sand tires unlimited direct for more info.

pull the carb and intake boot and check the reeds. if its a stock cage and reeds, which it most likely is, replace them with boyesens reeds. the stock cage will flow plenty for what you're trying to do. no need to go outrageous. thats only if the reeds arent sitting flush, or are stock. no doubt in my mind, you'll know if they're stock. they'll be a white plastic with a metal stop.

you should be pulling 4th at olds. 13/39 is stock (i believe). i run 14/39 and it runs good but i mainly am forced too because i dont have a front chain slider and anything smaller would drag on the swing arm.

sure the clutch is a possibility, but ive never had a problem with mine that i know of so i cant speak for you on that.

there is a couple resident R guru's here but most of them dont frequent the trike section. try the Honda section with the same question. they'll chime in.

Thanks for all the help. I guess the next thing I'll do is check the reeds and go on a diet. I'll be tinkering this weekend.

Your set up sounds good. I've beaten some Banshees with the 13/39 set up and I've dropped a tooth to 12 in the front with success. Most Banshees get me out of the hole with the 13/39 but I run them down. The 12 tooth gets me up quicker through the gears. Traction is important so get some good tread. I agree with HA2 with pulling the carbs and checking the reeds as well. Keep us posted.

your carb is way to big you need a 38mm. you should run around a 13/38 or 39 pulling a hard 4th. clutch could of been slipping for sure. your pipe is probably the worst made for the trike.
not meaning to sound like a jerk
