either way, its incentive to get the right carb on there. the 38mm carb and some better paddles will be a plus you can feel.

HA2,
I'm working on getting a 38 mm styker on ebay. It needs a main jet though. What size do you think I should go with for my setup?

Will a stock thumb throttle and cable work with this carb?

Trash the Gecko's!!! I bet you notice a huge gain by some sand skates or Haulers. I have tried ever possible combination of gearing and I can tell you that what works stellar at one hill and eats everone can keep you out of the race at another. I found a 12/41 works great at Patton while a 13/40 works best at test. I primarly run the stock gears for overall top speed and only change if there is a camp grudge match to be settled. Find the best gearing for what you enjoy the most or what's most important to you. Also, do you know how many hours are on that piston?

I always try to say hello to by R-brother's, hope to see you out there!

The Geckos are gone. I have Sand Skate II now. As far as the piston goes who knows. So far everything I was told by the seller has been BS. He couldn't make up his mind if it was a 300 or 330. Told me he just replaced the reeds, they weren't even seated against the cage and the tips of the petals were gone. Those things were toast. He said he just replaced the clutch. The first time I took it out I didn't get 2 hours of riding in and the bike stopped moving, but sounded good. Clutch was more that toast, the oil was like mud when I drained it. So Much for the new clutch he said was in there. NOT!!! But still for the price I got it for, it was still a bargain. $500.00. It now that I changed a bunch of things. I listed them in my profile comments. It seems alot better, but I haven't had it out to the sand yet. Taking it to Glamis the weekend of April 2nd. I guess I'll find out then what it can do.
