Default Pricing a 350X

I seen an ad for a low hours, mint, all stock 1985 350X for around $1700. Assuming everything is what it appears, that seems like a decent price but I might try to talk him down. What do you guys think?

Thanks
Rick

Yeah, that sounds a little steep. Maybe down around 1000 if its in ~mint~ condition.

I really dont think thats too high, maybe around 1500, but in different parts of the US, people pay more for bikes and some pay less. If that bike is mint with low hours and I was the seller, you wouldnt see less than 1,500 for that bike.

That sounds like a somewhat fair price. $1500 would be a good point to talk him/her down to if possible.

$1000 for a 350X? I paid that for my 200X this summer. Where are the selling mint 350X's for a grand? I may have to rent a U-Haul, pick a few up then resell them around here.

I think that is a fair price.

I would expect at least that for my 'R.

Think about it - you said mint.

That means that the owner either spent a lot on new replacement parts and rode the crap out of it - or - more logically, didn't ride it much at all after 87' when they stopped selling them.

My $.02.

Out here in Central/south CA, $1000-$1500 for a 350x. I could make money reselling these if I had a reliable cheap shipper.

Is your350x harder to start than a 250R?

Reason being my wife already has trouble starting my R. (I can fire it up first kick usually, so motor not the problem).

I want to get her something a bit easier to start.

Once it is started however, she rides pretty good for a noob.

actually no its not hard to start it has the valve decompressor working and helps alot. i usually start it up 1st kick cold, and when its warmed up starts even easier or mabe 2-3 easy kicks and starts up. excellent compression. my 10 year old skinny nephiew can start it up. to start it up you'll get the hang of it.
