250R worth the work?
#1
I have access to a 250R ATC for $100.
The problem is no plastic, needs piston and rings, etc...
My best friend is an engineer with a mig welder (a very fun combination), so we were lookin at takin the engine, throwin a Wiseco on and weling up a shifter cart with the salvageable pieces and some old Scrambler wheels.
The question....Is this a waste of money on the 250 for the engine and swingarm, or does it sound like a steal?
I don't know much about the ATC, except that it's been worked pretty hard, but is the engine worth $100?

www.esr250.com seems to be making a small (sarcasm) living off 250r motors in karts. but they're water cooled.
