200x breaking up

hey when im running my machine and i get to the higher rpms it sounds like its hitting a rev limiter i cleaned the carb and started it it revved nice with out the airbox hooked up but as soon as i hooked the airbox back on it started doing it again any suggestions??also when i first got the machine one of the jets was laying in the bowl i beleive the pilot jet?? the round one with just a slot in it? im running a 115 jet bored out 20 over kand n filter and dg exhaust

Have you added a bigger main jet or raised the needle clip from the stock location priror to having this problym?

i changes it from the stock 108 to the 115 and i havnt touched the needle

i dont think it did this with the 108 but wouldnt that make it run to lean?

You may be a touch too rich, by taking the air tube off you are allowing more air in. Kinda the opposite of what mine did, it would run great with the air filter, and box hooked up, but ran like crap with it unhooked, I was running on the lean side with the airbox unhooked. I am just gussing here..........

my mid and low is good this wouldnt be affected if i was running rich?? does a 115 sound to big for what i am running? thanks

also after riding for about two hours with the 115 my plug was a grayish color?

at W.O.T. the needle position, and the main jet are the main items to look at..... What are your mods?

I ran a 30 over 10.5 to 1 piston, UNI air filter, and a hollow stock exhaust, and ran a 110 main and I think I had the needle clip down 1 from stock, and it did great, but could of used maybe a 112
