Atc 200m tune up questions
#1
first off what should the clutch be set at?
When the 3-wheeler is idling and i punch the throttle it will cut out and shut off. In order to fix that would i have to adjust the air mixture screw? and how much would i have to adjust it.
Also it seems like it doesn't have alot low end torque, what could be the cause of that, and how can i fix it. Also what else could i do to tune it up?

I'm not very good with clutches spent most of my time with carbs tho. Your best bet is to not touch the air mixture screw. If it's been tampered with than that may be resulting in your no low end torque. However gearing may cause that too. First off check your air filter if its dirty clean it. Let it soak in some gas over night and the dirt should come out....Worked for me anyways. Next step tell me what size sprokets and tires you have.

The clutch for the manual clutch models is the free play at the lever, shoot for 3/8 to 3/4 inch at the end of the lever. For auto clutch models, loosen the nut on the clutch cover, and turn the screw ccw, until you meet resistance, then hold the screw stationary, and snug up the nut. Do this with the motor warmed up and the motor off.
Dont be afraid to play with the mixture screw, its the only way to learn. Whatever you do can be undone. Just remember the screw is brass, and can be deformed if you bottom it out, tightly. Its posible the bog is caused by the mixture screw being too lean. The starting point is 2 turns out from lightly seated, and unscrewing more is richer.
Read this article on jetting, and itll explain how to trouble shoot the drivability, and gives a list of symptoms of lean and rich.

The low end torque could be due to low compression, bad spark plug or carb misadjusted.
