The kick start on my 200x skips alot. I split the case and found no worn gears or anything like that. Im assuming the problom is with the inner spring. I stretched it a bit and machined a 1/8 in spacer to put between the c-clip and spring retainer to add a little preasure. It worked great far about 50 or kicks now its back to skipping again. Does somebody have some advice for me?

I just started to split my case today for the same reason. Ill pm you if i find whats wrong...

 

thks dragracer... when i took mine apart nothing looked wore. The only thing i can figure is the spring lost tension and is weak. I just ordered a new spring but im not going to tare down till i find out for sure.

 

Well it turned out to be two of the gears in between the two case halves. They were missing a few teeth, so I figured that would make it skip somtimes. I Put in extra gears I had for a spare motor and it works fine now... but in your case it could be the spring like you think,.

 

This is one weak spot within the 200X. Let us know how it turns out.
