Default 200x motor combination???

I am restoring an 1985 200x.

I have a 85 topend, the cylinder was just honed and the Head was port & polished.
And i have a 86 bottom end thats good. With the 6 speed tranny.

I Was wondering if the 85 topend would fit with the 86 bottom end? Cause i want the 6 speed tranny.

If so, will it mount up right to an 85 frame?

Any help is much appreciated.. Thanks

i'm about 90% sure that that jug will not work on the 86 lower end. And the plastic on the 85 needs to be cut away to allow room for the kick starter on the 86 lower end if you mount it.

beerman,

did you ever finish the rebuild on that bike?? If not do you still have the jug/cyl??? I am in need of a good jug and was wondering if you were looking to get rid of one.

Thanks,
Lance
