i'm new to the forum, just wanted to say hey. i also wanted to throw a question by you.
i recently purchased a 1983 Honda ATC 250r for $200. it has a 200x front end, maier plastic, and a homemade grab bar. just wanted to see if anyone thinks i got ripped off. heres the details:
the last owner bought the bike for $500. upon purchase, he realized it needed some tlc. after a good carb cleaning, it fired right up. he rode it twice then it quit. it kicked over, had compression, but wouldn't fire. they cleaned the plug, and it had spark. they kicked it over and wouldn't start. the tried pull starting it with a warrior, it started, wheelied over backwards, kicked the riders off both bikes, broke the rope, and ended up in a creek. they realized the throttle was stuck from being the wrong throttle lever(came off a 90 looks like). it now has a bent axle and a broken chain. i need an axle, anyone have a spare, or know of any other stock axles that slid in with or without modification?thanks for all your input. gonna try and get picks of both bikes soon. thanks again, Sean.

Yo man same thing hapened with my tecate my neighbor Hes liek 60 or sumthin but he had it wide open going violently fast and hit a pick uo truck and it flew into a tree and the i fidgured out the throttle got stuck on him like it has done to me i fixed the problem but it is scary...Your best bet is ebay mine had a bent axel too and i got 1 in like the first week i had it...i got my tecate for 200$ also lol that cool, but you betted look at every thing on that 250r you got cause when i got mine there was alot more wrong than i could see but have fun with the ting man These fast trikes are a blast

i've only ever owned my 250sx and a blaster and this is my second trike. i hope its not too banged up, i'm on a tight budget. i'm only 16 and i have school supplies and stuff too buy, so i need to be very cheap but thorough(this should prove stressful). thanks again guys, i'll be asking a lot of questions.
