Pretty interesting comparison. For short distance, I would have to go with the Tecate-3, pure evil. The Banshee would eventually pass at top speed, which would be reached way before the 1/4 mile, so the Banshee would take the 1/4, but probably not the 1/8th. The Banshee has 48 HP to the Tecate-3's 40+ HP, but it is 100 lbs heavier, so......

 

i relly like how you called it pure evil cause mine is from HEL* THe throttle Sticks wide open when i am not even giving it barley any gas!!!

 

Ya off the bat tecate, but in the long run id say the 350 twin would take it.

 

In a 1/4 mile race I think it would be pretty close. I don't think the topspeeds on tecates are that much different then banshees. I read somewhere that the tecate-4s ran 15.8 and banshees ran 15.5 so it would be a close race. Would like to see it.

haha yeah that throttles scary...but if you can master it you get used to how to fix it you just have to keep jerking the throttle around and play with the clutch
and im talking about the tecate-3

 

thats why those tec-3's are so dangerous, twist throttels are crazy like that mine use to stick all the time on my old 85 kawi. On my new drag tec-3 it will have a thumb throttle. If yours is sticking i would suggest oiling it good or buying a new throttle kit. It will make all the difference.

 

you know where i can get a thumb throttle that wil fix every thing on my tecate

 

I would think anyone of of any quad would work, but for a shure fit i would try one off of a tecate-4.
