200s 200x motor swap
Hello guys, and maybe ladies. I got a 200s thet i have had the cylinder honed out but did'nt have enough money to get a new piston and all. So she ran for the summer good but now shes starting to smoke and I'm trying to find a whole new motor to put in her and was wondering if the 200x motor would fit in my frame, and of course i would need to get a clutch lever. So if any one could help me on the this one it would be appreciated.
Thanks,

The engine is a direct bolt in swap.
The engine will bolt right into the frame and the S exhaust will work just fine, but there are just a couple things you will need to do.
You will need to either use the intake manifold and carb from your S engine setup...or you will have to make an airboot between the airbox and your 200X intake and carb. The X intake puts the carb at a different angle than the S intake.
You can buy a CR dirtbike clutch perch and lever (it has an easier pull ratio) for under $25.00
Then just buy a clutch cable for a 200X. It will be a bit longer than necessary, but not overly so. It will do fine and it will work with the CR lever.
I have swapped S engines into X frames before, but not an X engine into an S frame. You MIGHT have to trim your rear plastic a bit on the sides (not the tire coveragre portion) to clear the kick starter when it is folded out of the way. You will just have to do some measuring there to be sure.
