Default is $350 a good deal for an 84 250r

do you guys think that this is a good deal the font forks are bent bad do u think u could bend them back or dose anyone got any laying around that theu would like to get rid of

my 2 cents,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I would buy it. The forks can be picked up for pretty cheap off e-bay.

Thats not a bad deal at all if it runs. Forks are no big deal. I miss my 83, that thing flew.

Man if that thing runs i would pick it up in a heartbeat. Like thrash said forks are usually reasonably priced on ebay, just gotta look around.

83-84 250R are alittle harder to find parts for, but if patient enough you find them. Buy it, those are problably the fastest air cooled 2 strokes out there.

thank for the help im going over tomorrow to see if it will run and if i get to run iam going to pick it up if i can bend the forks back do you think they will work and do i have to rebuild them thanks for the help

Forget the forks if they are bent. They are worthless. You will never get them straight. But I have seen the forks on Ebay all the time.

the thing runs like a top pour fresh gas in and it started right up i just cant find forks any where will any othe bikes fit on it or dose any one have some

I have an 83 R and I put an complete 85 front end on it. You can use an 85 or 86 as they are the same.I have slid the shocks up in the triple tree to lower the front end and it works great. There is a complete front end from an 85 on ebay right now. Hope this helps out. I got my 83 for free and it was trashed, and now it runs like a bat out of hell with a little work.
