counter balancer bearing carrier and timing
My Aluminum bearing carrier for the counterbalance shaft is broken. I have some epoxy on it for now, but I want to replace it.
My questions are:
1.) Do I have to take out the counterbalance shaft (ie the whole right side of the motor comes apart). Or can I just take off the stator/flywheel and 3 screws holding the bearing carrier in place?
2.) I was thinking that I would get one of the adjustable timing carriers, but I'm not sure if it will actually do anything for me (or how to really take advantage of it).
Is anyone running one of these? Has anyone changed the carrier without removing the right case cover?
