Yamaha 200e need help
#1
Hi, i have a 1986 yamaha 200e, it runs fine but the last time i drove it it was making a load constant clicking in the rear end and just when i got home the rear end on the bike locked up. I got it loose, tryed it and locked up again.
I don't think that this is the bearings, i think that one of the gears in the rear end could be bad. any info would be helpful to me.
Thank you
Jeff

have you checked out the end play on the ring and pinon shaft... then you could check to see if the main shaft from the engine to the swing arm is bent..... something's gotta be bent or binding up.... let me know what you find out after checking out these things i've menchined..

This sound like just what happened to my 250sx shaft drive 2 weeks ago. Well after finaly pulling it apart. One set of berrings let go and the ***** jammed up in with the gear and pinion. When it locked up I was able to get it free a few times than I could not, that is why I had to pull it apart..Now my ring and pinion are ruined...I need a whole rear drive or all of the damaged parts...Don't be surprized if that is what happend...I am still searching out a final drive for mine at a good price..NOT CHEAP ! good luck
