I have a 85 200x and when i turn right it revs up. So i took it off and made more slack so i could turn the handle bars freely. But now when i start it, it just revs up really high. Also the clutch will get really hard sometime. Like when i turn it off. Once you start it up it goes away. The clutch was just replaced and dont know what was put on wrong. Otherwise the clutch works great. Thanks in advance for you help.

 

Hi, I had the same problem with my 85 200X. You might have pulled the cable to tight near the carb which may be causing it to rev on start up. As far as the reving when turning to the right I just replaced the slide spring inside the carb with a slightly stiffer on and never had another problem. I'm not really sure on the clutch except something may have been installed wrong or forgotten when it was replaced. I hope this helps.
