85 350X

I have a 85 350X. I paid $1000. For mine, it was completly stock. The rear brakes and the pipe was shot. I bought a new DG pipe and rebuilt the rear brake caliper. A friend of mine has a 85 also he paid $1500. He had to replace the rear carier and axle. Before you buy one look to see how rusty the tank is. The tank can rust all the way through and it is expensive to replace. I love by 350x. I don't think I would ever sell it.I am not sure how fast mine is but it will beat a 300EX, a warrior, and kill a blaster.

I had an 86 back in 86. I LOVED that trike and still kick myself for selling it for - get this - $500. It ran good but the tank was rusted through like you mentioned in your earlier post.
I would like to hear if you have raced a new 400EX. I am going by memory but I think it would be a good race - they were ahead of their time.

I have an 85 350X , I paid $900.00 for mine . I got it from the original owner . It is completely stock . Even the tires . But they dont have much tread . The front brake handle was broke off . After I got it I realized the handle mount was broke which is actually part of the master cylinder for the front brake . I went to honda for a new master cylinder as this was the only way to be able to mount a handle . Almost $200.00
I then went to a motorcycle salvage and got one from an old honda motorcycle for $40.00 its about 1.5 trimes bigger but works great and has a switch for brake lights . Mine goes between 70-75 MPH depending on ???? . Im only brave enough to take ut that fast on the road .

Man I got this 84 Kawasaki 110 three wheeler that was in real bad shape (I bouhgt it for a beer - to give an idea as to it's condition)and the gas tank was full of holes and rust. Good old J.B. Weld did the trick. $2.00 and some elbow grease, plus some gray patching areas that didn't look that good unless you paint them. It would leak further and I would dump out the gas and hit the spots and they'd be fine. I didn't even scrape off the old paint and rust and clean it real good like I should have and it held up foy a couple of years. I believe if you clean it up like that first and give it atleast 24 hrs. to dry you'd be in good shape. Maybe install an in-line fuel filter for any rust and stuff that doesn't get completely cleaned out.

Hey dude, I have an 86 350X that I bought back in 97 for $600 and traded my 87 200X for it. Really miss that little 200X though, it was a good machine. I'm the 3rd owner of my 350, and it took a little cash, I'd say around $1500 or so to bring it up too it's present condition. It seems like a lot, but I figuered I always wanted a 350X, and it's worth it to me. Why spend around 5 0r 6 grand on a new 4 wheeler? I'm just a die-hard ATC nut. Still have my first one, a Honda 110 my dad bought for me back in 85, it's still cherry. My dad has an 84 200M, tht's in great shape. Sure the quads beat me in the rough stuff, but I can hold my own on the smoother trails and in the snow it's a blast. And i still like getting the looks and stares when I fly around my local riding area on my ATC. A lot of younger guys never really seen three-wheelers. I drag raced a few 400EX's. Sometimes I get the holeshotand beat them, other times they get me. But I still have alot of fun, and that's what it's all about. If you ask me, some of these machines are getting too big, as far as displacement. I mean, come on a 660 in a four wheeler? I rode a Quadracer 500 a few years back once, those bikes are really fast. But my 350 is plenty fast enough for me, I wrecked my 110 a few times when I first started ridin years ago, and you can hurt yourself enough on those smaller bikes let alone a bigger machine. So ride safe an d have fun, cause that's what it's all about!!!

Ever since I rode my uncle's big red, I've been hooked. Once I got the hang of keeping my feet up, I was fine. I hated taking to sharp a corner and sticking my foot down to get run over by the rear tire, which always pulled me off of it. Now I need to keep the front tire down!! There's always somethin'....
