i was thinking of gettin rid of ole reliable 250r and gettin the new suzuki 450.i know ill always regret gettin rid of it and still might keep it but those 450 are sure expensive. i wanna finally go with new, new aint always best and i sure love 3 wheelers an will always but i wanna get that new one. but im perdy sure ill keep old 250. its a 1984 dg pipe n silencer, k&n, boyseen reeds and all original othe rthan that. this thing not only beat the 400 and stock 450 it looked good and ran just as good as any new atv would run. i wish honda made their 450 a lil better to keep up with everyone.. sucks changing rides.

I was excited when the LT-R came out too. But if you're gonna get a new quad..stick with Honda. The 450R is bulletproof just like Im sure your '84 250R is.

Well I rode a lt 400 suzuki this weeked and i was NOT imprressed. It had no bottom end. It would bearly pull the front wheels off the ground at low speed i have to get up in the higher rpms to get it to come up. I rode a kawasaki 400 and a 400ex and they both dont hessitate at all. I have never rode the 450's yet but from my experience with the 400 I wouldnt get a suzuki. just my $.02

First off, I hope you are getting rid of the 84 "R" and not the 85! And I completely agree with Bad.... Honda 450R.... after that then I could understand a Yami, but not a Suzuki at this point.

Hey Roxz, you do know that the "Kawasaki" 400 is nothing more than a green Suzuki, right? The only difference between them is the color and graphics.

ATC, if the new R450 is what you want, then go for it. There will always be 84s that you can buy. Don't worry about all of the Suzuki nay-sayers. Suzuki makes very good products, it's just that most people still think it's the 80s for some reason.

well then 69hemigtx the one i rode must have sucked. The kawasaki would pull the wheels off the ground at low speeds just buy hitting the trottle without poping the clutch. With the susuki you had to either pop the clutch or you would have the trottle wide open and halfway through the rpm to get the wheels to come up in a good wheelie... and i was at haspen and was watching another kid on one and he had to stand on the BACK OF THE SEAT to get it to come up even if he sucked on a 400ex all he would have to do to do a wheelie is hit the gas hard!!!
