Default 1986 ATC250R Split Exhaust

Does anyone know if a split exhaust for my 1986 ATC250R is available (like the kind you see on the Banshees)?

well by that analogy, my truck has 8 cylinders so i should have 8 pipes running out the back, right? a 6cyl should have 6 pipes, a 4cyl should have 4 pipes, right?

if im not mistaken, the vforce, praire, Buell, yam R1, etc have multiple cylinders but the OEMs stuck ONE pipe out the back...hmmm, guess they should have consulted you and saw the error of their ways: them blasted dum@sses! every cylinder must have its OWN pipe running to the end of the vehicle!!....just pickin dont take it too hard, man. but back to the dude's question - anything can be fabricated, contact LTE (they do this for raptors, 400Ex, etc, they may do it for you for some $$$) HOWEVER, it prob would actually make you lose power and it will never sound as good as a banshee.

OMG how stupid could I have been to not know that banshees have two cylinders. Wow!! Please delete my original post. Thanks Kasey for showing me the light – dumb a$$. The question was do they make one and not a lesson on the number of cylinders on a banshee. If I wanted that "raspy" banshee sound, I would own one. Just a question idiot boys.

Any decent muffler shop can fab you a 1 : 2 splitter to be installed after the collector, and it won't be big bucks; routing all the other components and ensuring the appropriate back pressure from the twin "muffler / spark arrestor' is going to cause you some engineering grief as you are going to end up with varying amounts of carbon in the corners and bends which will change flow from side to side, all the modification beyond the splitter is going to cost you money, if your serious you should look at 110 cc to 125 cc series muffler spark arrestors of the newer 2 stroke dirt bikes, custom splitter, custom pipes, and hangers. Your probably looking at 4 to 6 hundred bucks to pull the exaust modification, and, It may not pass green or red sticker approval cause of the mods. Then you'll need to look at air box, suspension, wiring etc to ensure it won't fubar any of that equipment. It really sounds like a lot of work for an astetic apperance and no power enhancement.

so let me get this straight,,,,,,,,,,, you want to put 2 silencers or you want to put 2 expansion chambers on your 250r???? your question was kinda uninformitive,,,, and to all you other idiots,,, we are talkin about a 2 stroke not your daddys pickup truck,,,, big difference,, besides on a 250r there is no place to run 2 pipes unless you go outside the frame ,,and i guess if you rigged up some crap on the back i guess you could run 2 silencers ,,, just more stuff to rattle off ,,,, maybe a better explaination ,,, it would probably get better results!!!!!!
