Try these upgrades:

200x piston, carb, and cam
Cobra or DG exhaust

So far this is what I've come up with...I'm planning on restoring a 83 ATC 200 that I had as a kid.
Let me know what you find out for improvements

I think the carbs are the same unless the 200x is bigger then the 200s an xr200r cam is better then a 200x cam and agreed on the exhaust. Good luck and nice bike.

ATC 200 and 200s Carbs are 22mm. The 200x has a 24mm carb. Have you tried the XR cam? I'm interested in that idea...

 

If I understand the xl185s is an even better cam and use the carb from a xr250r I believe it is 32mm
