i have a 84 honda 200s and i put new rings in it but after riding it for the second time after new rings it started to knock.I thought it was piston slapping does anybody else have any ideas what else it could be thanks

 

You might need to adjust your valve spring.

 

i agree its probably valve adjustments.

 

thanks for your help but after adjusting the valves it still had a knock.But after listening closer the noise was coming from right hand side of motor. So I pulled the case cover off and there was a bolt loose in the tranny clutch.So I was very excited to have cheap fix.
