just scored an 84 200s chain drive off ebay for $66.00, needed a tire, another 60.00, took it home put gas in it and push started it, have been riding ever since, was wondering about the posibility of high low gear range i have read some atv's have, does mine have it, how do i tell, this one has been stripped down to the nitty gritty, no lights, no fenders, and such, i recovered the seat myself and my kids love it, it needed a shifter so i got one but the spines are shot, guess i'll weld it on, been using vice grips and letting the kids ride in 3rd, has lots of power, smoked alittle, put some of that stop smoke honey in it seems to work, exhaust broke on day 4, need to get my mig and fix that, louder now thou...anyways, any and all help would be nice to see what i really have here, and to find out if i am blowing out the clutch with the honey stuff.., thanks

200S does NOT have high/low range. Still for $66 who cares...you can't beat that deal.

 

yea i got me one a few days ago too......got mine for free tho....no fenders...flat tires....light missin....no muffler.....yea i like it tho. it started right up too. yea they dont have high and low, i think they stopped putting it on after the 125.

 

i paid $500! i need to move. pretty good condition though.

 

There was a company called dirtwerks that made a rear suspension kit for the 200s

(It was necessary when you are riding dune patrol at glamis trying to chase down 250Rs in 1985)
