84 250R
#1
this is not my wheeler..
my wifes cousin has an 84 250R with an 3" (maybe 4") extened pro-link swingarm.
he wants me to ask how to take up the chain tension..no visible adjusters?
guess his chain broke (lack of maint. im sure) but from what i understand the chain is now wedged between the case and the front sprocket ..
it also has 300 kit and somany extra parts( enough to make 2 more 250R's)
custom axles , pipes, plastics, bars, etc. bought from original owner(neighbor) for $1800

You may have to remove a link. But double check, it doesn't make sense there is no way to adjust it. Remove the front sprocket when you try to remove the chain you don't want to damage the case. Sounds like a nice trike. Good Luck.

on 83 and 84 250r's the chain adjustment is on the rear axle housing
you must first loosen 2 alen heads and 1 hex head in the center . After
that you need a spanner wrench to turn the axle housing that is how you
adjust a 83 & 84 atc 250r chain .. I own an 83 & an 84 drag bike shown
