Default 200M Plastic tank

Anyone replaced an original steel gas tank on a 200M / Big Red etc. with a plastic one?
I have repaired my original tank more than once and now its leaking again. I found a place in Tennesee that sells replacement plastic tanks for around $95.00 US. I would have liked to keep the bike all original, but finding a descent used original is next to impossible.
Looking for feedback on the quality and fit of the replacement plastic tank.

i had one on the same bike. i hated it. it fit like crap. it was loose you could just pull it off of the bike with your hands. if the bike fliped over the tank would pop off.

get some tank Kreem to seal the inside of teh tank. and have it painted at a auto body shop and get some stickers for it on ebay and it will be as good as new.

"Kreem" look it up it is good product.

Thanks for the reply.
I have "Kreemed" it twice already, and now its leaking again. The problem is that my tank didnt have pin holes, it had large holes.
I know that it could be fixed, but welding painting and another Kreem kit is going to cost a lot more money that the plastic tank.
Do you recall the manufacturer or the distributor of the plastic tank that you bought ?

Default 200M Plastic tank

Just got back from Florida and I picked up a plastic tank from G&H Discount ATV supply. It is not a "Clark" tank, in fact there is no indication of the manufacturer on the tank or on the box it came in, but I can tell you that I am very pleased with it. The only modification required was to squeeze the metal cover piece over top of the frame and under the tank to make it more narrow and a slight trimming of the rubber ***** that the tank slides into. Those of you who have a similar bike should know what Im talking about.
The fit is great, in fact it's more solid than the original, there is no way that its going to fall of no matter what I do to the bike.
Highly recomended for $89.00 US.
