Default Filter on Carb?

Hey all,
We got a new carb for a 110 ATC. And it doesn't look the some as the old one - on the old one the filter/screen is right after the petcock but on the new one it is not there soo . . . is there a filter/screen in a different place? Or do we need to put a fuel filter in the fuel line?

I dont know how that tank is designed but alot of petcocks have 2 filters built on to them.If you take the petcock off the tank you should see them if that one is designed that way.Usually there will be 2 little tubes that stick up in the tank that have little filters/screens on them.I would go ahead and add an inline filter anyway. It wont hurt anything and will just catch more trash. You can sometimes pick up these inline filters at walmart or auto stores.Might look in the lawnmower section if you dont find one in automotive.

More than likely your new carb only has a fuel inlet fitting
Not a fuel valve as the origional carb did
You may need to put a valve inline and a inline fuel filter
As I remember you are working on a 110
so you will have 2 lines
One is for reserve the other is run
You could cap/plug the inner fitting and run from the outer fitting through a filter and shut off valve to carb
You can get the filter , fuelvalve and fuelline from any motorcycle shop or online

Good luck
Ray
