85 atc 250r rear axle

Default 85 atc 250r rear axle

So i am doing a restoration of an 85 250r and i have every bolt out of it and ready to take the swing arm and frame in to get powder coated, but one probem.....I CANT GET THE SWING ARM OFF THE AXLE!!! i need any hints, i don't know what the deal is but i have the wheels off, and the nuts that are on the axle will not move at all, do i need to take the hubs off? i don't know what to do but it has been soaking in penetrating oil for the past three days and those nuts will NOT move, i am going crazy.........PLEASE HELP!!!

You do know that those nuts have left-handed threads, right?

REALLY??? I have an 83 and they are lefty looosy - righty tighty!!! I am also doing a resto but I just put mine back together. Made my final 600 dollar purchase at dennis kirk!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!! I had the same problem but it was with the brake rotor hub that slides on the splines into the bearing carrier!! I had it heated and it still didn't come off. So I had to buy a used swingarm and axle off of ebay!! Good luck w/ that!!! I also went crazy but I also lost my hair!!! LOL!!!!!!!
