Default ground cable?

I picked up a 200? recently from someone who tore it down to restore it, got about half way through building it back and got tired of it cluttering his garage. I've got most of it back together except a couple of things. First, If the wire that ties to the positive cable on the battery has rotted off, how do I reattach it? Not the battery cable itself but the one from the little fuse box. Second, the ground cable has been completely removed, I have one but do not know where it connects on the frame. Can someone direct me to that information. Third, the fuel valve was kinda bad so I picked up a aftermarket one and it has a blue sleeve on it that the guy told me was the fuel filter. Well, it wont fit into the tank with it on so is it OK to run without it? I know it's a dumb questiong but how do you install it otherwise? Lastly, what motor oil are you guys running? IIRC my old ATC ran straight gas and not premix. I'd hate to burn the damned thing up without ever riding it. Also, how do you check tranny fluid And is there anything else I should check before firing this thing up? The vin # is JH3TB0548EG477609 if that helps.

Thanks,

Kevin

Default ground cable?

Hi: Kevin,
I will try and answer your questions
I am sure others will help anything I may miss
Your engine and trans oil are one and same on that trike
I run the Honda GN-4 SAE 10W-40 SJ I have run this in all of my 3 wheelers for several years
I did check prior to using and this
Your ground wire to frame
I would just find a suitable location and attach It really makes no difference
Your Posotive wire
You may need to just simply use a crimp connector Eyelet and reattach to battery
I would also use some Dilectric grease on all electrical connections to prevent corrosion causing issue in the future

Fuel valve
I would look carefully in the bottom of your tank connection
I would bet the guy sold you the correct valve
But your old filter is stuck in the tank
That happens My 185s did the same thing

I hope this helps
Good luck
Ray

Default ground cable?

Great, thanks for the info. I didn't think about the old filter sticking in the valve. I need to take it apart now and check. I've read alot of the posts on here about the motor oil and ended up buying Castrol 10w40.
Thanks again

Kevin
