Honda 1979 ATC 110
Im not sure on your carb, but on my mikuni the floats lift a little brass bracket like thing up and down. When putting the float bowl on I have to hold this bracket up or else it will fall below the floats. I couldn't see how it could go on wrong until I looked at it for a few minuets. On mine the bracket can just barely fit below the tabs on the floats.
Even if your is different I would look at the float setup for a few minuets. Your problem is almost always caused by the float.

I have a 1980 110 ATC with a no start problem also. The top end was rebuilt, the engine ran for 2 weeks then quit. The carb is only 6 months old, it is getting good spark and plenty of fuel. I have rechecked the valve train, points, plug, coil, timing, flywheel and stator. It has good compression but still won't even try to start. Any ideas??????because I'm all out

I'm getting plenty of fuel. In fact, I'm taking the carb apart today to check it all out - may be getting too much fuel. Plug floods out after awhile of pulling. It's the only thing I haven't looked into since the carb is only 6 months old and worked good on the other engine. Let me know if any one has any other ideas.
Thanks, chevynutt
Ok. Just went through the carb and everything checks out. Still won't even try to start. If I can't get it running by this weekend , it's getting junked.

If it has been sitting that long like mine then after you clean the carb and make it all look nice it still won't start. What I did was put it in the highest gear turned everything on (including gas) and have someone pull you with a long rope behind a 4-wheeler or something that can pull it. This is simply because after sitting so long the engine has to spin faster than you can pull it over with the recoil. So when you are pulling it hit the throttle and you should hear it start to bog then cough to life. you can now procede to pull start and it should start after this.
